Steven Gerrard set to leave LA Galaxy

Steven Gerrard has declared that he would be leaving LA Galaxy when his contract is over at the end of the season. He might be looking to go somewhere else as a player or would want to try his hands at coaching.

Speaking to the media, Steven Gerrard stated that he believes he can play for another season at the top level whether in the States or in another country. However, it all depends on the offer that may be coming and also on his own decision.

There are also rumors that Steven Gerrard will want to go back to his former club Liverpool and work as a coach. He would want to reunite with former team-mate Jamie Carragher interested in doing the same. Gerrard has said that he is thinking a lot about taking this role and that it would be fascinating to work with his teammate in a different role.

Both men are currently working as pundits on television. Gerrard said that he has been impressed with Carragher’s knowledge and that he will be really proud to work with him on a coaching role. However, he acknowledges that it does not depend on him, and it is up to the Liverpool management to make the decision.

Steven Gerrard, 35 years-old has played his entire career for England side Liverpool before making the switch to the United States. He managed to make 710 appearances for the Merseyside club and scoring 186 goals for them. During his time in England, he won the FA Cup twice, the League Cup three times as well as the Champions League once.

He moved to the Major League Soccer side at the end of last season and so far has made 20 appearances for them and scored two goals.
