Liverpool’s season has seen them making a serious charge for the Premier League title and after claiming victories against clubs such as: Manchester United, Tottenham and Arsenal they have turned out to be true candidates on winning the league.

The astonishing form of Liverpool can largely be credited to the attacking department of Brendan Rodgers with the likes of: Luis Suarez, Daniel Sturridge and Steven Gerrard being the main source of goals for the Premier League club.

The team of Brendan Rodgers is the team that has scored more goals than any other in the current season with a total of 73 goals so far, it’s a feat that Liverpool can certainly be proud of accomplishing.

Steven Gerrard has recently talked about the potential that his partner in crime, Daniel Sturridge still has left to develop but that if he continues working hard he can turn himself into a hero for England.

“Daniel’s got the world at his feet and he can be whatever he wants to be if he keeps working hard. His form has been scintillating this season and to see him close up in training I see what qualities he’s got. Everyone will be looking for Luis Suarez, Cristiano Ronaldo, the usual suspects, to stand up and be the star of the tournament, but Daniel is certainly capable to go and star at this World Cup.”

England was pitted in a group along with Uruguay which ironically will be seeing Luis Suarez facing off against Steven Gerrard during the World Cup and the veteran midfielder has revealed that Suarez represents a real threat for England and he would rather play in the same team as the Uruguayan forward.

“I’d rather play on the same team as him; of course I would. He’s a world-class player who can give problems to any opposition he comes up against. I know him well, I know his strengths and I know the very few weaknesses that he has’’. Suarez added.
