Steven Gerrard is heading to the MLS

Steven Gerrard is heading to the MLS in the next season as his Liverpool career which has spanned for over 15 years is reaching it’s final few months and it’s not ending in the way that the English midfielder wanted it to finish as he has been hitting a few road blocks in his last season.

A hamstring injury has forced Gerrard on having to stay on the sidelines of Liverpool for a few matches but there was another incident that has affected the experienced midfielder much more and it was the red card that he received during Liverpool’s match against Manchester United which was played on March 22 at Anfield.

Gerrard came off the bench at the 46th minute and did not last a single minute on the pitch as he received a red card after stamping on the legs of Ander Herrera. Manchester United eventually managed to claim the victory with a final scoreboard of 2-1.

A slip from the Liverpool captain also allowed Demba Ba to score a goal during a league match when Chelsea was facing off with Liverpool.

This is certainly not the way that Gerrard wanted to spend his last season with the club where he has played in his entire career and the 34 year old midfielder admitted in saying that Liverpool has not accomplished anything so far in this season.

Even though Gerrard will end his Liverpool career at the end of the current campaign, he still wants to help push the team into a Champions League position that would allow the Premier League club in competing in the European competition in the next season and the Englishman knows that it will be a difficult task to accomplish as there are more clubs which are aiming for the same objective.
